When I heard the news that David Bowie had passed away, I felt a deep sense of loss towards a man I knew so much about and also very little at the same time. For as long as I can remember, I was enamored with him in every way possible—he defined fashion, art and culture the way no one had done before. In the past six decades, David Bowie—a boy who grew up in Bromley—became one of music’s most cherished icons, a man who was sexually liberated, with an undeniable stage presence and alter ego that shaped us all in one way or another.
