Alexander Wang FW16 Collection

Since leaving Balenciaga, Alexander Wang is back to his roots designing dope clothes for downtown girls looking to amp up their street cred. Wang’s FW16 show was held at Saint Bartholomew’s Church—a rather sacred space to hold a fashion show—for clothes that gave off sacrilegious vibes.

This season, Wang was designing clothes on his terms with: sexed-up tweed suits, Marijuana leaves printed on mohair minis and coats, and garters that boldly displayed, “girls”, “strict” and “tender”—the graphic nature of slogans was apparent with every passing look.

Bottom line: When it comes time for the release of Wang’s urban FW16 collection, his clothes will surely fly off the shelves, with his signature downtown cool customers clamoring to snag a piece of it.
